The 553P Burgundy is our Nordic-climate hiking boot with a reinforced toe cap — extra protection where boots usually die first, and a noticeable jump in overall durability.

Waterproof genuine nubuck leather upper over a 4-layer sock-style TOPAZ membrane: water out, breathability in. The 2-layer Vibram sole handles soft ground and hard rock equally well. Vibram is what serious hiking footwear is built on.

Made in Estonia by Samelin to NATO AQAP 2110 and ISO 9001. They've been building hiking boots for over 20 years and also produce the M77 combat boot and manufacture for Dr. Martens and Rossignol.
